Corporate Environmental Manager | Costa Rican Electricity Institute (ICE) - Costa Rica
Miguel Víquez Camacho is an Agricultural Engineer, with emphasis in Sustainable Rural Development of the National University of Costa Rica. He studied Management Skills from ADEN and the University of California, in United States. He is an expert in alternative resolution of socio-environmental conflicts. He has worked with the ICE Group for more than 15 years, where he has been coordinator of environmental studies in the planning and feasibility stage of hydropower project. He was the social coordinator in the environmental flows studies for the reventazón and Savegre hydro projects.
He is currently the Coordinator for the implementation of the Environmental Management System of ICE and currently serves as Director of the Environmental Planning Process and as the Corporate Environmental Chief of the Electricity Sector of the ICE Group.
He has participated as an international expert of the International Center of Hydropower of Norway, in specialized courses of environmental and social management of hydroelectric projects, carried out in different countries of Latin America.
